  Job Description
The Diocese of London seeks tenders from Storytellers/Volunteer Coordinators to connect diverse audiences to built heritage; working with local partners to recruit volunteers and deliver community activities during the Development Phase of a £4million National Lottery Heritage Fund project. The project will restore a Grade II* listed closed church in a central London Conservation Area, removing it from the Heritage At Risk Register and returning it to community use.

The role of Storyteller/Volunteer Coordinator is a fixed-term contract with a contract fee of £12,600 for the Development Phase only. The contract will run from May 2024 to April 2025.
  Required Skills / Qualifications
● Involve under-represented audiences, especially with established project partners, holding Reminiscence Days, capturing stories from elderly residents.
● Excite, inspire, surprise and involve the priority audiences by taking them on a deeper journey to engage with the heritage of the building and area
● Hear new voices and identify untold stories which can inform the interpretation and future activities
● Build a new audience and partnerships during the Development Phase to identify project partners for the Delivery Phase and Activity Plan.
● Work with local communities to co-create and deliver at least 3 pilot activities during the Development Phase.
● Advertise for and recruit new volunteers to support the delivery of pilot activities in the Development Phase.
● Assess the appetite for storytelling in the area.
