Job Description |
|
The Security Department directs and oversees all aspects of safety and security for the V&A. The V&A has adopted a ‘centralised’ management model in respect of security. This role will provide multi-site strategic and operational support. The post holder will report to the Security Systems Delivery Manager (SSDM) and be responsible for assisting in delivering the V&A’s Security Strategy.
The main purpose of this role is to assist, support and deputize for the Security Systems Delivery Manager to deliver the V&A’s Security Strategy, as it related to technical systems, across all V&A sites. The job will be focused on operational planning and delivery, whilst also looking operationally at the future technical security needs of the V&A. There will be a strong emphasis on, innovation, collaboration, efficiency, and project management. You will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient systems for the Security Department, providing a cohesive multi-site provision. You will be required to think outside of the box and deliver security systems that support the mission and vision of the V&A and helps us to provide a world-class visitor experience for all. |

Required Skills / Qualifications |
|
• Professional qualification or relevant experience in delivering security system projects within a cultural sector venue or equivalent.
• A total commitment to security, safety, equality, access and inclusion.
• Confident working with partner organisations including the police, local authorities and regulating bodies as well those we share space and services with.
• Project management experience or qualification. Capable of analysing complex demands and planning innovative but manageable solutions.
• Excellent standard of written English and highly numerate with the ability to carry out complex numerical analysis
• Significant interpersonal and consultative skills, including the ability to communicate, present, negotiate, influence and build credibility with colleagues and external parties
• The ability to use MS Office, CAD and other relevant IT systems appropriate for the role.
• Proven ability to manage a high workload and multiple priorities whilst meeting deadlines
Desirable criteria:
• SIA CCTV Licence
• IOSH (Managing Safely) certificate, or higher. |
