Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle & Gardens.

About the role
We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.
We are seeking a full time Archivist and Curator of the Architectural Drawings Collection to join a team of curators and archivists to deliver and develop first class architectural drawings and archives care, research and services both externally and internally at Historic Royal Palaces. This role works collaboratively with colleagues across Historic Royal Palaces, to help research and share the story of our six palaces and the people whose lives helped shape them. The role's two focuses are the collection of 30,000 architectural drawing based at Tower of London, and the archives and records of the Curators team and other departments.

About you
You will be passionate about architectural and historic buildings history and be able to demonstrate this through your experience working with both collections and archives. The successful applicant will also be motivated, thorough and well-organized in your work, and enjoy managing different tasks simultaneously. Your will be able to communicate your knowledge of and enthusiasm for our shared heritage to everyone from our audiences and colleagues. All this will be built on proven understanding of archival practice and standards.
