  Job Description

Assistant Conservator - £24,040pa (plus benefits)
(Full-Time, 12-Month Fixed-Term Appointment, Stevenage based)


An opportunity has arisen to join the Museum’s Collections Standards and Care team as an Assistant Conservator on a fixed-term contract. The post-holder will provide support to the team in the delivery of the gallery refreshment display and temporary exhibitions programme, and loans out. The post-holder will also deliver preventive care and environmental monitoring across Museum sites, alongside ongoing collections care and storage, guided by conservation, professional ethics and national and international museum standards. This role provides an opportunity for the post-holder to develop conservation skills in a museum stores environment.
