Every year thousands of people from around the world visit The King’s Gallery, Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace State Rooms and Gardens in London. Joining a diverse and enthusiastic team, with a real passion for customer care, you'll be engaging with every visitor who comes through the door. Helping to make their experience unforgettable, you'll greet visitors with a friendly and warm welcome, answer their questions, and provide information to enrich their visit.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver first-class guided tours and short talks to visitors, ensuring information is adapted to the audience and tours are completed within required timeframes.
• Offer a friendly welcome to all visitors and seek opportunities for active engagement to enhance their enjoyment, appreciation, and understanding of the Royal Collection and Palaces.
• Prepare visitor routes before opening, ensuring all areas are clean, beautifully presented and when in use ensure the safety of exhibits and visitors reporting any issues.
• Support the Assistant Visitor Services Manager / Visitor Services Manager in the set up and smooth running of press events, receptions, special events and tours, including assisting with hospitality and catering when necessary.
• Undertake any additional tasks as requested to the highest possible standard.

  Required Skills / Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
• Ability to demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding visitor experiences by providing a friendly, approachable manner that ensures every visitor feels valued.
• Possess clear, confident communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
• Skilled in researching and developing content to provide informative and captivating guided tours and talks.
• Ability to build strong relationships with visitors, accurately gauging their interests and knowledge levels to enhance their experience.
• Reliable and flexible approach to meet the dynamic needs of the role.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, offering support and encouragement to new team members and fostering positive professional relationships.
