  Job Description
It’s sharing a world class art collection for millions to admire

It's being inspired to deliver to the very highest standards. And it’s the satisfaction of presenting and preserving one of the world’s greatest and most diverse art collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust so different.

From paintings, photographs and watercolours, to furniture, ceramics and jewellery, the Royal Collection contains a huge range of objects, and our loans programme helps ensure the collection can be enjoyed all over the world.

Joining at the heart of our Pictures team, you'll oversee all aspects of our short-term loans programme.

Key responsibilities:
• You’ll be responsible for co-ordinating loans worldwide from this remarkable collection, dealing with the process from the initial enquiry from a potential borrowing institution through to delivery.
• You’ll have responsibility for the loans budget and central loan policies, ensuring funds are used carefully and procedures are followed appropriately.
• Arranging insurance, preparing contracts, and maintaining records in the central database, you’ll make sure everything’s in place for a seamless process.
• As a key point of contact, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, drawing on the expertise of our conservation, curatorial and art handling teams.
• You’ll also oversee packing requirements, couriers and transportation, to ensure the safety and security of each item.

The standards you’ll aim for will provide the biggest challenge, and the greatest reward. After all, the results of your work will ensure our breath-taking collection is seen by new audiences.

Essential Criteria
• You’ll have excellent knowledge and extensive experience of administering loans of works of art within the UK and internationally within a museum or gallery context.
• Highly organised and flexible in approach, you're adept at managing your time in order to prioritise multiple, and often conflicting, deadlines.
• You’re perceptive with great problem-solving skills so you can be relied upon to take initiative and make swift decisions when needed.
• As an excellent communicator, you enjoy working alongside and engaging with people at all levels, including specialists in their own field.
• You also possess a keen eye for detail, always delivering your work with faultless accuracy.
• A good command of relevant IT programmes.

Above all, you're driven to maintain the very highest standards of care in all that you do.

Benefits
We know that to deliver our best work; we need to feel at our best. That’s why at the Royal Household we offer a generous benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and life priorities.

Enjoy 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days (plus bank holidays) dependent on the length of time you have worked for us.

Our excellent non-contributory pension plan (we’ll contribute 15% and you can contribute more if you wish) is highly valued by our employees, as is complimentary lunch on-site to keep you fuelled throughout the day.

We also offer a range of leave options to support your life priorities, such as parental pay and leave and volunteering days, as well as benefits to support your physical and mental wellbeing.

Other perks include 20% off at our Royal Collection Trust Shops and complimentary admission tickets across all our locations, along with many more exclusive employee discounts.
